I am a German native speaker and hold a first-class degree in physics at postgraduate level from a German university. I have seven years of experience as an IT expert, both as a programmer and as a systems administrator.

In 2004, I successfully completed an MA course in Translation Studies at a British university and have worked as a full-time freelance translator ever since.

I am very experienced in patent translation, which has been one of my main fields of activity from the very beginning. I am a logical thinker and also do other kinds of highly sophisticated texts, such as scientific papers.

Having received a humanistic education at a German grammar school with six years of Latin to German translation exercises, I have developed a sound feeling for my native language. So I equally enjoy translating texts that are stylistically demanding, convey a strong message and are intended to be published to a large audience - such as corporate communications, reports, press releases, brochures and web sites.
